Scott J. Seagle

Scott is an experienced civil trial lawyer admitted to practice in all Florida state and federal courts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal. He graduated magna cum laude from Troy University in 2004, and from Florida State University College of Law in 2008. Scott joined Coppins Monroe, P.A. following graduation and was promoted to equity shareholder in 2014.

Scott represents private and governmental clients in all areas of civil litigation—with an emphasis in the areas of civil rights and constitutional law, employment law, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and tort actions of all kinds. Scott also has extensive experience representing clients at the appellate level which includes both briefing and oral advocacy before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Florida’s First District Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Florida (briefing only), as both appellant and appellee. In addition to his litigation experience, Scott is a lecturer and trainer on issues of tort liability, sovereign immunity, and constitutional law. He has conducted internal employee investigations and drafted/revised, contracts, business policies and procedures, employee handbooks, and more.

Scott is married to Lila Seagle and has three children: Aryana, Lucas, and Ocean.
