- Michael F. Coppins has been selected for inclusion in the 2009 edition of Superlawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition, in the practice area of business litigation.
- Gwen Adkins and Michelle Buckalew successfully obtained summary judgment in a breach of employment contract case.
- Gwen Adkins and Michelle Buckalew's strategic litigation efforts resulted in a voluntary dismissal for their client in a 42 U.S.C. section 1983 claim against a governmental entity.
- Holly A. Dincman recently served as a guest instructor at Florida State University College of Law, teaching a two-day segment on Florida Corporations for the Topics in Florida Law Symposium, a class designed to prepare students for the Florida Bar Exam.

- Michelle Buckalew became a member of the Network of Young Professionals. The Network of young Professionals is a 100% volunteer driven, community-based organization dedicated to helping make Tallahassee a city where young professionals choose to live, work, play and stay.
- Michelle Buckalew presented a primer on the Fair Labor Standards Act to local business owners at a Leads Group meeting, a group associated with the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.

- Holly Dincman has received her Board Certification in Labor and Employment Law from the Florida Bar Board of Examiners.
May 2008
- Michelle L. Buckalew's Article on the "Top 8 Employment Law Issues for 2008" will be published in the May 2008 edition of HR Florida Review, a publication mailed to over 12,000 HR Florida professionals.
- Michelle L. Buckalew and Scott J. Seagle drafted, "Navigating Reductions in Force in a Turbulent Economy" to be published in the spring edition of HR Issues and Insights, a publication of the Florida Banker's Association.

- Michelle L. Buckalew was elected to the Board of the Tallahassee Women Lawyers as the representative to the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.

- Michelle L. Buckalew served as a featured speaker during the Florida State university College of Law's Women's Law Symposium forum on women and legal fashion. Ms. Buckalew continued her efforts to mentor FSU female law students by sharing her experience and all perspectives on young female attorney attire in a private firm setting. The presentation was well received by all.

- Holly Dincman presented training sessions for teachers and administrators in Calhoun and Washington counties regarding e-mail and internet usage in the workplace and teacher ethics.

- Gwen P. Adkins gave a presentation titled "Law Enforcement Liability Update" at the annual meeting of the Florida Municipal Attorney's Association.

- Michael F. Coppins has been named as a Florida Super Lawyer® for the second consecutive year, in a publication by Law & Politics®.
"Super Lawyers" is a listing of outstanding attorneys representing a wide range of practice areas, firm sizes and geographic locations. The selection process is designed to identify attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The 2007 lists are based on surveys of thousands of lawyers and only the top five percent of lawyers, from nearly 60 practice areas, are named "Super Lawyers."
- Holly Dincman was a presenter at the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium's 40th annual Leadership Conference, "Setting the Pace, Winning the Race . . . 40 years of Educational Excellence," in Bay County, Florida. Her presentation was focused on technology in the workplace and the unique legal issues created by rapidly changing technology.
- Michelle L. Buckalew has been named as Chairperson of the Mentoring Committee for the Tallahassee Association of Women Lawyers.

- Holly Dincman gave a presentation to school administrators in Wakulla County entitled "Wakulla Discipline Squad – Performance Under Fire" which addressed the topics of spotting potential liability events for schools, maintaining good documentation, conducting effective investigations, and improving communication.

- Gwen P. Adkins has been certified AV by Martindale Hubbell. An AV rating is based on peer reviews by members of the Bar and Judiciary. An AV rating signifies a lawyer that has "achieved the highest levels of professional skill and integrity".

- Holly Dincman spoke to all employees of the Calhoun County School Board regarding the psychology of litigants and strategies for educators to avoid litigation.

- Holly Dincman was a presenter at the Panhandle Area Educational Consortium's 39th Annual Leadership Conference in Bay County, Florida, speaking to educators from 14 school districts across North Florida. Her presentation was focused on strategies for keeping educators in the classroom and out of the courtroom.
